Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground (tents only) is designed for groups of people. Families and individuals are encouraged to use Oak Ridge Campground instead. Turkey Run is a 9-site campground with restrooms (no showers), grated fire pits, and picnic tables. Three sites hold a maximum of 40 people. Six sites hold a maximum of 25 people. Parking is available. Alcohol is prohibited at Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground. You can reserve your spot at on www.recreation.gov or call 877-444-6777.

Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground (TRGC) is a wooded camping facility for organized groups of seven or more persons. The campground is open year-round.
Turkey Run Ridge campsites are available by reservation on www.recreation.gov only. We recommend submitting applications for the spring and fall season at least two to three months in advance.
Make a Reservation →From the park entrance on Joplin Road (Hwy 619), turn left on Scenic Drive (first left after entering the park). Follow Scenic Drive around 2 miles over the creek bridge, and just past parking lot C, turn left at the junction of the Scenic Drive loop. After a quarter mile, take the first right onto Turkey Run Road and follow it to the campground at the end of the road.
Prince William Forest Park experiences all four seasons. Spring and fall are generally comfortable with precipitation possible. Summers can be hot and humid with average temperatures in the high 80s and with sudden thunderstorms possible. July and August are the hottest months. Winters can be cold with average temperatures in the winter of 41 degrees with variable precipitation. The main park roads may close due to snowy conditions
Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground is not wheelchair accessible.
Cellular service coverage can be spotty.
Fires must be contained in park provided or personal grills. No fires can be left unattended. Extinguish all fires before retiring for the night or leaving the area. Leave extinguished ashes in the grills. If not camping, wood within the park will not be cut, collected or removed for any reason, unless under an approved Special Use Permit. If camping, dead and downed wood less than six inches in diameter may be collected within the campground for use and consumption during a stay with a valid camping permit.
