- 8,000 feet elevation - 6 campsites (max 6 people per site) - water available year-round *This campground is hike in only! Depending on where you start, the hike up to Manning can be anywhere from 9-18 miles and accumulates 5500-6500 feet of elevation. As you hike up, you will pass through multiple different biomes with spectacular changes in flora and fauna composition, passing through riparian zones and dry cliff alike (not to mention the extraordinary views).

This campground is hike in only, and open 24/7. Reservations can be made on reservation.gov
Reservations
Reservations are required to camp and sites are first come first serve. Call the Rincon Mountain District (East) Visitor Center ahead of time to ask about availability or visit the center in person and ask at the front desk.

Campsites are only accessible by foot and are wilderness back country sites. Bear boxes are provided, as well as pit toilets. Manning Camp is at the higher elevations of around 8,000 feet so temperatures are cooler than the lower Tucson Area. There is no paving to the site or at it.
