Woolum Campground is a large open field at the Woolum access to the Buffalo River near St. Joe, Arkansas. There are no amenities at Woolum. There are no designated sites. A vault toilet is available. Fees are not charged at Woolum.

Woolum is located 7 miles off of Highway 65 in St. Joe, Arkansas. Follow County Road 374 west out of St. Joe towards Woolum. The first 4 miles is paved road, the last 3 miles is graded gravel road. The campground is an open field with no designated campsites. No picnic tables, fire grates, water, or flush restroom facilities. There is a horse camp section of Woolum available for campers with pack animals.

Directions
From St. Joe, Arkansas take County Road 374 west 7 miles to Woolum river access. Camping is permitted in the field to the left along the right side of the road. No camping permitted in the hay fields along the left side of the road.
Weather
Summer in the Ozarks can be very hot and humid. Please check the weather forecast prior to your arrival and plan accordingly. The weather the rest of the year has the potential to be wet and cool or dry and warm. Please pay special attention to river levels and the rain forecast when planning a trip on the river. River levels can rise dramatically in a short period of time so please be aware of conditions.

The terrain is grassy and uneven.
Cell phone coverage is spotty. More reliable cell phone coverage is available closer to St. Joe, Arkansas.
Please keep fires in the designated fire rings. Cook stoves are allowed.
