Make a Reservation →From Hanksville, Ut: Drive south on Hwy 95 about 44 miles. Turn right onto dirt road where the fee station and vault toilets are. There will be a small brown sign indicating the Dirty Devil Shoreline Access Area as you approach the turnoff, but none at the turnoff. Once you pay your camping fee, you can camp wherever you choose along the Dirty Devil River within Glen Canyon NRA boundaries.

This area is for rugged primitive camping. There are no paved roads, running water, trash pickup, or any other facilities other than the vault toilet here. The vault toilet does have a flat entrance and railings. Rangers only patrol periodically and due to the remoteness of the area cellular and wifi signals may not be available. As there are no designated spots, there are no paved or ADA accessible spots. Once your vehicle leaves the highway pavement, this is a shoreline access area as defined under our off-road vehicle plan. It's all rocks and sand, none of it is level, as you approach the river, the cliffs get steeper.
